Legislative Advocacy 101 Webinar

Legislative Advocacy 101 Webinar

Tuesday, November 16, 2021 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (HST)

Description

As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has ravaged the country's economic and public health. In our State, like many others across the country, we have witnessed a tremendous loss of jobs and the permanent closure of many businesses. As the 2022 legislative session approaches, it is clear there is much work to be done to rebuild our economy and community. Effective advocacy, like never before, is going to be critical and NHCC recognizes the need for the Native Hawaiian community - individuals, businesses and other organizations - to share their voices and opinions.

To that end, NHCC invites you to join us for "Legislative Advocacy 101," a brown bag lunch webinar about the upcoming legislative session. We are honored to have Sterling Wong, Vice President of Advocacy for the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement lead this discussion. It is our hope that at the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of the legislative process and how to be an effective advocate at the Hawai'i State Capitol.
